IHOP was founded in 1958 and has more than 1,600 restaurants in the United States, Puerto Rico, and internationally.
We are working on validating Veterans Day discounts for 2024. Below is last year’s Veterans Day discount.
If you are a military member or veteran, you can take advantage of IHOP’s special Veterans Day free pancake meal. IHOP’s Veterans Day promotion is only available at participating locations, so double-check with your local IHOP before you go.
Participating IHOP restaurants offer all veteran and active-duty service members a stack of red, white and blueberry pancakes topped with glazed strawberries, blueberry compote, and whipped topping.
The discount offer may vary by location. Some restaurants may offer a free breakfast combo. Call your local IHOP restaurant to confirm what offer they offer before you make a visit.
IHOP also offers ongoing discounts of up to 20% daily on all IHOP breakfast and menu items, depending on location.
Not all locations participate in Veterans Day promotions. Please call ahead to verify.

My husband and I went to the IHop on Woodruff Rd. in Greenville on Veteran’s Day. We ordered our meal and my husband showed them his veteran’s ID and the waitress told him he would be taken care of. He ordered the combo and when she brought the bill back, she told him that she had keyed it in as the “rise and shine” breakfast and it wouldn’t work so my husband did not get his free combo “breakfast”. He was hurt and dissappointed. This was not right! We did not argue with her but the more we think about it, the more it bothers us.

Later the Veterans Day meal is stated to be “IHOP’s Veterans Day deal will be available on November 11 at participating locations. You can order from IHOP’s Veterans Day special menu any time between 7 am and 7 pm on Veterans Day.”
